THE PROCESS

STEP 1

                        Listen to the following stories read aloud.

As a class, record the names of the animals that Mem Fox includes in these books.

STEP 2

Talk to your reading partner and select an animal from the list below.  Do not duplicate an animal that has already been chosen.  Click on the name of the animal in the list below to learn more about it.  Record three interesting facts.  Talk to your partner and decide which fact you want to include in the class Power Point presentation.  Remember to choose information that grabbed your attention when you were reading.

STEP 3

Your class will work together as a group to create a Power Point presentation.  With teacher direction, each group will create a slide that pairs an interesting fact with a graphic.  A title slide and credit slide will be added to begin and end the presentation.
