THE TASK

Many of the characters in Mem Fox's picture books are animals that are native to Australia where Mem lives.  Your job is to find out some interesting information about one of these awesome aussie animals.

You have four (4) tasks to complete.

1.  Your teacher will  read the following books aloud:

                Possum Magic     Koala Lou         Hunwick's Egg

Listen and watch carefully for the names and illustrations of the Australian animals.

2.  Your teacher will assign you a partner to work with.  Choose one of the awesome aussie animals listed below to research.  Do not duplicate an animal another group has already chosen.

3.  Research three interesting facts about the animal you have chosen.

4.  Choose one of the facts and create a slide to include in a class Power Point presentation.  Include one graphic with the fact.
